You might notice that everything on our website is written as though we’re speaking directly to the young people we care for. That’s because we are. They are at the heart of everything we do, and we want them to feel seen, heard, and valued in every word. This way of writing helps us stay focused on what matters most—making sure our children feel safe, supported, and understood. If you’re reading this and you’re not one of our young people, we hope you’ll still get a sense of the love, respect, and commitment that guides our home every day.

Welcome to PIC Specialist SaILS! We provide high-quality, Ofsted-registered supported accommodation for young people leaving care. Based in St Helens, we offer more than just a place to live — we offer a place for you to grow, to learn, and to belong.

We know that moving on from care can feel overwhelming. That’s why we’re here — to bridge the gap between care and independence. Since 2000, we’ve seen how important it is for you to have time, space, and support to build the skills you need for adult life. Now, 25 years later, we’re proud to be part of a regulated system that recognises the value of supported accommodation.

What We Offer

Our home, The Cornerhouse, is a safe and welcoming space with six fully furnished single-occupancy flats. Each flat includes a kitchen, living room, two bedrooms, and two bathrooms — giving you privacy, comfort, and independence. At the heart of The Cornerhouse is our Hub — a 24/7 staffed space where you can get support, learn new skills, and connect with others.

We work closely with local services and the St Helens Leaving Care Team to make sure you get everything you’re entitled to. Our Independence Program helps you build practical life skills — from cooking and budgeting to managing a tenancy, finding work, and looking after your wellbeing.
